Preparing for the weekend
Here's a guide to help you pack for the quilting retreat. We want to ensure you have everything you need to relax, create, and enjoy your time with us at Sewing Sisters Quilting Retreat.
What you need to bring...
To fully participate and enjoy the quilting retreat, make sure you bring these essential items:
- Friendship quilt block
- Sewing machine (in good working order)
- Basic sewing kit (scissors, seam ripper, pins, needles)
- 2-3 projects of your own to sew between activities
- Thread (matching your fabric)
- Small extension cord
- Portable light
- Items required for optional classes
- Small iron and personal ironing board (optional)
- Small cutting mat and rotary cutter (optional)
- 1/4" bias tape maker (optional)
- Clover turning tool if you have one (optional)
What we provide...
Our participants travel from near and far so we provide all the bulky tools so you don't have to bring them.
We provide:
- large cutting mats, rotary cutters and rulers
- large ironing boards and irons
- fabric and pattern for the retreat quilt top
- raffle prizes
- sale tables with a variety of quilt kits, notions and fabric
